I have made cookies like this before but never a cake.  Thanks to google images I come up with this..... for a friends birthday!

Sara's Wedding Cookies

My good friend Sara is getting married.  I told my best girlfriend who is a bridesmaid, I would love to make cookies for the shower since it was a tea party.  A long side the Maid of Honor, two other bridesmaids and myself we come up with some great cookie.  I didnt make the shower but I heard they were a HIT! 

First, three tier soccer cake

My cousin was turing 10 years old this year.  Double digits,  he called me one day and said, will you take me to the Cake Boss ( www.tlc.discovery.com/tv/cake-boss )  I love the show and I want a cake from there.  There was no way I was going to buy him a cake that is what his mom or mom mom could do.  BUT I told him maybe I will make you a cake and one day we will go to Carlo's Bakery http://www.carlosbakery.com/.  So I made the cake, I had so many ideas, but it tuned out how it turned out, I still need lots of practice...maybe one day I will work for the family! 

Bittersweet Guinness Cupcakes

WOW, all I can say is, I am really starting a blog.....Last weekend Aug 14th I baked my birthday cake...well really cupcakes yet again, but its ok because I love to bake...(a co worker made me cupcakes too since she missed my birthday celebration, thanks KL).  I have been craving a cupcake I had when in GA in May at Miss Mamie's http://www.missmamiescupcakes.com/, it was a Guinness cupcake with cream cheese frosting.  I started looking for recipes and with the help of raleys.com I found the recipe I fell in love with. I will make then again, and I am still craving them.
